The committee opposing mourning dove hunting in Michigan has undergone a name change.

The Committee to Restore the Dove Shooting Ban has become the Committee to Keep Doves Protected.

Leaders say the change is designed to make it clearer to voters that a no vote on Nov. 7 is a vote against mourning dove hunting.

The group has also changed its Web site to www.noonprop3.com.
